In early December, 2011, I spent a day with a student of mine shooting video for the New Haven version of Help Portrait, an international event that brings pro photographers and hair/makeup specialists together to donate portraits to anyone who walks through the door. This is the result. Tissues recommended!

Three events comin’ up in Connecticut…On Thursday June 2nd, I’ll be at CCSU teaching teachers to teach (using video!) at the Conn Tech Ed Association Conference. On Sat, June 11th I’ll be bringing my video trickery to the general public at East Haven’s fabulous Hagaman Memorial Library (FREE! Starts at 1PM). I will also be selling and signing copies of the book during this event. Then on Saturday the 25th I’ll be helping current students and recent grads of the Conn School of Broadcasting to conquer! Hope to see you then!

As part of Educator Appreciation Week, the Barnes & Noble store in North Haven, CT is hosting an Educator Reception, 5PM Tues April 12 with raffles, refreshments and classroom giveaways. Also at 5PM local author and educator Jay Miles signs copies of his new book. The store is located at 470 Universal Dr, North Haven CT (I-91, exit 9, next ot the movie theatres). The original short film “Quest of a Commoner” that my students produced this year, as part of the CCC Film Challenge (creating a short film in 84 hrs) will be screened alongside it’s competition for the CT Student Film Fest. The screening happens Sun Feb 6th, at 3:45, at the Warner Theatre in Waterbury, CT, as part of the Connecticut Film Festival 2011 Season Opening Weekend.
